I don’t have a lot of time in between appointments during the day to eat so I end up doing fast food a lot.  Is there a healthy alternative to this?

The best thing to do is bring snacks with you to work. I like nuts, dried fruit, regular fruit, chopped and raw veggies like carrots and celery. I even bring yogurt and granola to mix in. I use an insulated lunch bag that I got from Office Max for $5. I don’t refrigerate anything at work. Just leave in the bag. You know those containers you get to-go dressing at restaurants in? I use those for my granola, dried fruit, nuts, etc. They keep things organized and single-serving size. I also eat a lot of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, in addition to soups, chili, etc. If you don’t have a microwave, stick to sandwiches, salads, and other meals that you don’t need to heat up. Eating fast food is not ideal, and you should try to avoid it if possible. If you must eat out, get a salad or soup or whatever seems the healthiest (most nutritional information is available online for fast food chains). And never drink soda or eat dessert.

There are healthy places that you can get a fast bite. While they aren’t the best, they’re much better alternatives than the fries and burgers and soft drinks most eat. You could eat a salad at most places and you might find some other healthy alternatives.

Eating healthy means making a commitment to preparing healthy food and stay healthy for the long time.  But for many of us, the term “healthy meal” brings to mind hassle, effort, and tastelessness. If you are not getting enough time for lunch or break fast then don’t eat any fast food or other junk food. Try to keep break fast or lunch with you. When ever you are going for meeting carry some sandwich with veg or egg and always carry apple or some other fruits which can you eat.
