Early in the disease, there are few symptoms of PKD. The first symptom of PKD is usually high blood pressure. Other symptoms may include:

• Chronic pain in the back, side, or abdomen
• High blood pressure
• Blood in the urine
• Urinary tract infections
• Kidney stones
• Dehydration
As the disease progresses, other major health problems may develop.
